Jenna S. started The Creative Reserve in 1996 under the business name Digital G.A.S.P! (Graphic Artist Service Provider.) It was the only graphic design and t-shirt printing company in her small hometown of Enumclaw, Washington.  She was just 16 years old.

She began the business by using one of the first versions of Adobe Photoshop and used generic, t-shirt iron-ons.  These only remained for her first client because of a terrible mishap, when she accidentally  left a hot iron, face down, on her mom's new carpet.  After much scolding and a failed attempt to create t shirts, she was forced to investigate how to run a more efficient and professional company.

Her second client proved to be a much bigger success. Working with a fundraiser for Students and Teachers Against Racism.  She created shirts for her high school football and track & field, cheerleading squads as well as various club activities.  These experiences paved the way for her future profession.

After high school, she attended the University of Oregon and achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Design.  The following three years Soard worked as a freelance graphic designer, while working in the admissions department of a local university.  She received a scholarship and achieved a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

While working at the University, she developed a relationship with Microsoft that lead to all of Microsoft's 57,000 employees being awarded scholarships.  She was also hired freelance to work on a marketing campaign for local.live.com.

Upon her graduation, she revived her company with a whole new identity and began combining her marketing skills with her design abilities.  She created a synergistic relationship with a local business owner, who gave her an amazing opportunity to re-brand his entire company.   This was the true beginning of The Creative Reserve’s success.

Currently, Jenna S. is back in Portland, OR after an amazing year teaching400 students a week at Tokyo Metropolitan University and is responsible for t-shirt design for the Horiyoshi III clothing line.

Jenna is currently teaching for DeVry University, Ashford University and Kaplan Language school, in addition to a handful of clients, where she will continue to change lives through art, education, design and business.
